Rocky Balboa: One More Round (Going the Distance)

As strange as it may seem I am a HUGE Rocky fan!! I have watched the Rocky movies many many times over and each time I come across it on the t.v. I watch it yet again.  The reason why is that it is sooo full of inspiration and motivation.  Putting aside the cheesiness of the acting and the improbability of the beatings one man can take :), these movies have inspired me to never give up and to keep going.  Whenever I am running and feel like stopping or begin to feel my lungs are about to burst, I get re-energized just from listening to the Rocky soundtrack.  Tonight after my 5km+ run, I came home and did a little Youtubing and came across yet another Rocky montage that I wanted to share (maybe to coax yet another Rocky fan into admittance..haha).  The message in these movies is simple: we are all fighting that inner battle with  something, whether it is weight, personal or health issues etc. The key is to never give up the fight no matter how broken down you become.  The person who chooses to fight on, can only become STRONGER in the end.

"When things got hard, you started looking for something to blame. Like a Big Shadow. Let me tell you something you already know. The worlds aren’t all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it...

You've gotta hit as hard as life. It isn’t about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much can you take and keep moving forward? That's how winning is done.

If you know what you're worth, Go out and Get What Your Worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits. And not pointing fingers saying you aren’t where you wanna be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that and that aren’t you. You're better than that."
